Computer Rentals: What You Need to Know

• All laptop and desktop loaners must by returned to our office by August 14th

• In order to be added to the waitlist for laptops, please fill out the form linked below. The form is open starting on August 1.
• After you have filled out this survey, please be patient for us to contact you. If you come to the office, we will not be able to provide you with a laptop unless we have contacted you first.
• You will not be able to keep or check out a new laptop for fall unless you are enrolled in at least six credits.
• We reserve the right to charge your account if you do not return your device(s) within the deadline, you have broken or lost the device or cords, or if your device (usually Apple) is not signed out and we cannot contact you.
• If you need or can get by with a desktop, we have many of those and do not plan to run out. We are more than happy to check one out to you immediately.
• As a reminder, the waitlist does not guarantee you receiving a laptop.

Who Can Rent? Laptop rentals are currently only being offered to BYU students. Active BYU ID holders can rent desktops for off-campus use only.

• To be considered a student you must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for both fall and winter semesters. For a desktop, taking classes during the spring and summer terms is not required.
• If you are not a student, unfortunately we cannot rent a laptop to you. However, we do have computers available for the general public to buy.
• You are the only person allowed to rent for you. Parents and others are NOT allowed to rent in your place as the rental constitutes a binding contract that you must agree to.

How Do I Rent? For a desktop, walk into the office with your Student ID and we'll handle the rest. For a laptop, fill out the form above and we will contact you when one is ready.

All Rentals Are Free We will contact all current renters if this policy changes.
