Surplus Sale Information
What is a surplus sale?
Surplus sales are a joint effort between BYU OIT Surplus and BYU Moving to make surplus items available to purchase. During the monthly surplus sale, many items not normally available can be purchased. Check here or on the home page for the exact date of the next sale.
BYU Faculty/Employee Virtual Line Numbers
On the day of the sale, bring your BYU ID with you into our office any time after 7:00AM and before 3:30PM so we can verify your BYU position. Upon verification we will help you claim a virtual faculty/employee queue number. These numbers will be the order in which you will line up in the employee line and be admitted into the sale.
Public Virtual Line Numbers
On the day of the sale, a QR code for the queue number claim link will be posted outside our office at 7:00AM for those who wish to secure a spot in the front of the line. Later in the morning we will send an email with a link through which anyone may claim a spot in the queue. Please save your number! These numbers will be the order in which you will line up in the general public line and be admitted into the sale.
Faculty with and without numbers will be admitted into the sale before the general public only if they are lined up at 4pm. Each number admits only one individual.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting rude or unwanted behavior.
1. We accept all general forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks.
2. Surplus sales operate on a first-come, first-served basis. However, quantity limits may occasionally be placed on high-demand items.
3. Purchased items must be picked up within three business days of the sale; otherwise, they will be relisted. Carts and dollies may be available during office hours for loading items.
4. Prices marked may be estimates and are thus subject to change.
5. Items are sold 'AS IS.' No returns or refunds will be accepted after purchase. We provide a testing bench during the sale. Items are pick-up ONLY; no deliveries are available.
6. Please be kind and considerate to your fellow customers. Do NOT run, shove, or fight over items. Respect others' space and carts.
7. If you have any questions or concerns at any time during the sale, please speak with a nearby employee. Employees will be wearing yellow vests and hats to make them more visible.
Pickup Instructions
If are not able to take your purchase with you on the day of the sale, you may return to retrieve it within 3 business days. Pickup is available during regular office hours. Please note that the doors will lock at 6:00pm and reentry will not be permitted. We encourage you to plan your visit accordingly.

Policies:
Furniture items will be available for purchase during this sale. All purchases are final. Limits may be placed on the number of customers in the store due to fire restrictions.
